All visitors require a visa except citizens of some Commonwealth countries and citizens of selected countries such as Denmark, Germany, the Republic of Ireland, Italy, Norway, Spain, South Africa and Sweden.
Visas can be obtained on arrival at the airport in Nairobi or Mombasa, but Citizens of the following countries need to have a visa prior to arrival in Kenya: Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Senegal, Somalia, Iran, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Mali, Sudan, Nigeria, Yemen, Cameroon, Pakistan, Tazikstan and North Korea
Visas can be obtained at the airport upon arrival in Kenya, or from the Kenyan Embassies / High Commissions abroad prior to departure.
Children under the age of 16 who hold a British passport do not currently require a visa to enter Kenya but will receive a gratis stamp in their passport on arrival.
Please note that the Kenyan immigration authorities state that you need sufficient space in your passport for your visa. If you arrive with a passport that is full you will be refused entry so it is advised that you should have two blank pages in your passport on arrival. You require six months remaining validity on your passport to enter Kenya.
